Creative Spotlight: Wee Walk for Clyde’s Hope

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to post something I’ve been working on. Busy is an understatement these days since I’m in the final stretch of my second pregnancy and baby is due in just a couple of weeks! So there has been a LOT of designing and getting ready for baby going on, and don’t forget I have a 3 year old to boot!

One of my good friends, and client, Susan Verucchi of Clyde’s Hope, runs a non-profit organization providing education and assistance to hospice patients and their families. She is a force to be reckoned with and always seems to find a way to help families in need during such a difficult time.

Signature Worx has pretty much designed everything for Clyde’s Hope from their logo to their website and everything in between. When Susan is planning an event, I’m her first call to collaborate with and begin designing whatever she needs from event logos to the event t-shirts, flyers, and banners.

Next month, Clyde’s Hope is catering an event just for children to help raise much needed money for the organization. Susan asked me to design a logo for the Wee Walk which I happily did for such a great event.

The 1st Annual Clyde’s Hope Wee Walk will take place on April 25, 2009. Registrants, age toddler to 6 years old, will raise money for the event and then participate in a walk where they will receive a medal upon completion. The event will be filled with other activities as well. Check out their website for more details.

potofgoldOh yeah, they also have a “Pot of Gold” raffle going on now through March 17, 2009, where one lucky winner will receive ½ the pot of gold of all raffle tickets sold. The other half will help provide for the needs of hospice patients. You can purchase your tickets through their website by clicking on the little leprechaun.

Creative Spotlight: Mann Made Time

If you’re subscribed to my blog, you’ve probably been wondering where the heck is Connie and why hasn’t she posted anything in well over a month? Well there really isn’t any astonishing life happenings to report, and my lack of writing would be just an excuse really, but honestly I’ve just had some last minute projects come up which brings me to the reason for this post.
My very good friend and business partner, Jaime Lee Mann of Mann Made Time, asked us to completely redesign her logo, which of course led to her website and business cards being redesigned, as well as a shiny, brand new blog…appropriately named Mann Made Blog. Jaime’s site and blog went live several weeks ago and she has had nothing but compliments and praise on the new look.

Now, I’m always proud of my designs, not because I’m arrogant or think I’m the best in the whole world, but I do pride myself on delivering quality designs and each one is like delivering a new baby to my clients…one they love. However in this case, at this very moment, Mann Made Time is my golden child. This project by far has been the most satisfying of all my projects. To top it off, Jaime is simply an ideal client. She typically does not ask for some impossible deadline, she gives you input, she sometimes knows exactly what she wants while other times, she really isn’t sure which gives me complete creative control. In addition, Jaime has always known what branding can do for your business. She truly “gets it” and always incorporates her branding into everything.

You really should check out her blog, I literally cannot go a day without visiting to see what she has to say. She is an excellent writer and a really good story teller. We’ve even adorned her pretty little head with a Santa hat for the holidays :)

Introducing ConnieMcVicker.com

Happy Friday! Hopefully your week is winding down and you’re getting ready for a relaxing weekend or at least a weekend that does not include working on your business. I’m not usually one to show off or brag about something, however I am pretty proud of the latest site added to my business repertoire.

After owning the domain name for more than a year with the full intention of doing something with it way back then, it just always seemed to be put on the back burner. I invite you to visit my very own named site, www.ConnieMcVicker.com. The site acts as a portal to all I have to offer including a portfolio, subscription form and feeds from my blog.

I hope you take a few minutes to visit and don’t forget to let me know if you have any comments. Have a great weekend!
