I saw a few Tweets today about Typealyzer.com so I decided to check it out. Enter the URL of a blog and Typealyzer will spit out its analysis on the writing style of said blog.
Just for fun, I couldn’t resist entering our In The Worx address and this is what Typealyzer had to offer in its analysis:
The organizing and efficient type. They are especially attuned to setting goals and managing available resources to get the job done. Once they´ve made up their mind on something, it can be quite difficult to convince otherwise. They listen to hard facts and can have a hard time accepting new or innovative ways of doing things.
The Guardians are often happy working in highly structured work environments where everyone knows the rules of the job. They respect authority and are loyal team players.
In addition, it also provided what parts of the brain were actively dominant during writing. Apparently I am a Practical writer.
I have to say that Typealyzer pretty much described me and my personality almost perfectly. I have to disagree with the part about “having a hard time accepting new or innovative ways of doing things” because frankly I thrive on change and look for better ways to accomplish my goals, as well as those of my clients, all the time. This is not an area that holds me back by any means. Typealyzer also said that I am “happy working in highly structured work environments where everyone knows the rules of the job.” I have to say that whether it was when I worked in Corporate America or while running my own business, that yes I do expect others to follow the rules, those that are written and those that are just plain common sense. It annoys me when people don’t take responsibility or just simply slack off with no regards for others. But I suppose that is a post for another day
Anyway, Typealyzer was a fun little experiment. What does it say about you and your blog?
