Sometimes I review stuff I believe in on my blog. If said “stuff” is really good and the person who sells it offers an affiliate program I will probably sign up as an affiliate and direct you to said “stuff” via that affiliate link. What that means is that I will get a tiny commission if you buy what it is that I recommended. That’s the only way my blog makes any money because I don’t like to have a bunch of ads gunking up my design. You really should be thanking me.
If it makes you feel any better, the commission I make will most likely go towards feeding and/or clothing my darling little girls and not towards a bad drug habit, a gun collection or anything like that.
I’m telling you this in case you think I’m writing pretend reviews, risking my reputation (that thing that helps me feed and clothe my children) for the sake of a $1.75 affiliate commission. I promise I would never do that and if you think I would…well…I don’t really want you to play in my sandbox anymore. There are plenty other designers out there for you.
